Be still and shine where you are placed in life.
There are many times that we don’t humble ourselves or allow God to humble us because we want to shine. But just think about the moon, no one really chases it and most people are not excited to see it. However, once we realize that God created the moon to be a reflection of the sun, it gives us a glimpse into what we are to be as reflections of Christ.
We are meant to be the reflection of the SON!
Sometimes when we are called to a dark stage. That is when He is giving us an opportunity to be broken in front of Him so that we can be a reflection of Him (The light: John 8:12) for Him in the dark world. Not a single one of us can be a reflection of our own light. In fact, our light is that of God and not our own. But if we strive to BE the light (sun) we miss out on seeing HIS light (Son) shine through us.
You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 1 Thessalonians 5:5
That is why I have come to encourage you TODAY. Yes, you might be walking through some dark times (death in the family or friend, loss of career path, loss of motivation, illness, weakness, so on and so forth, BUT you are not of any of that. YOU have been called into the LIGHT, which is Jesus.
Take note: You are not of your own light, but the Light that is created by God and is of Jesus.
Question: Are there areas in your life when you feel or see darkness where you just need to be a reflection of His light?
The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. Revelation 21:23
Open your eyes and look around, it won’t be hard to find the dark areas in your life. Sometimes it’s right in front of us or within us!
